Ingredients

  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  • Season chicken:
    Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
  • Cook the chicken:
    Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add chicken breasts and cook until golden brown on both sides and no longer pink in the center. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  • Prepare creamy sauce:
    In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
    Pour in chicken broth and scrape up any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet.
    Stir in heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, and Italian seasoning. Bring to a simmer.
  • Simmer:
    Return chicken breasts to the skillet and simmer in the sauce for a few minutes until heated through and sauce is thickened.
  • Garnish:
    Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

You can add spinach or sun-dried tomatoes to the sauce for extra flavor.
