Prawn Korma

A rich and creamy prawn curry with a blend of aromatic spices and yogurt.

Ingredients

  • 500 gms prawns shelled and deveined
  • 1 large onion finely sliced
  • ½ cup natural yogurt
  • 1 tsp garlic paste
  • 1 tsp ginger paste
  • 2 green chilies sliced
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • ½ tsp turmeric powder
  • ½ tsp chili powder
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  • Heat oil in a pan and sauté the sliced onions until golden brown.
  • Add garlic paste, ginger paste, and green chilies. Fry for 2-3 minutes.
  • Add turmeric powder, chili powder, and garam masala. Mix well.
  • Stir in the yogurt and cook on low heat until the oil separates.
  • Add prawns and cook until they turn pink and are fully cooked.
  • Garnish with fresh coriander and serve hot with naan or rice.

Notes

For a thicker consistency, blend cashews into the yogurt mixture before adding.
