The website does not take payments. You upgrade in the iPhone or Android app, and the web app picks up your plan when you sign in with the same account.

- Stays on the device
- Recipes do not sync, even when you sign in, and they do not appear on the web. Ads stay on.
- Buying and restoring
- No Chef's Kiss account is needed. The App Store or Google Play takes the payment, and Restore purchases in the app uses that same Apple or Google account.
- Moving to another device
- In Settings > Import / Export, export a Chef's Kiss JSON file and import it on the other device. That moves your recipes, not Local Unlock: the other device's plan decides how many fit.
Upgrade
Upgrading happens in the app
Apple or Google takes the payment, and your plan follows your Chef's Kiss account to the web.
1Sign in on your phone
Install Chef's Kiss on iPhone or Android and sign in with the account you use on the web. Plus and Pro need an account.
2Choose a plan
Open Settings > Upgrade Plans. Your store shows the price and any free trial before you confirm.
3Reload the web app
Your plan comes with your account. On the web, Settings > Account shows it.

Good to know
- Free trials
- Plus and Pro may start with a free week for first-time subscribers, when your store offers one. The app shows it before you confirm.
- Cancel or change a plan
- Use the App Store or Google Play, or Account > Manage subscription in the app. Deleting your Chef's Kiss account does not cancel a subscription.
- Chef messages
- Standard Chef messages reset at 00:00, 04:00, 08:00, 12:00, 16:00 and 20:00 UTC. Extra messages are used when the regular allowance runs out and reset on the first of each month at 00:00 UTC. Unused messages do not roll over. Recipe imports do not use Chef messages.
- Optional rewarded boosts
- Every plan, including Plus and Pro, can choose a rewarded ad in the mobile app to restore 1 used regular message. Up to 10 boosts per UTC day, resetting at 00:00 UTC. A boost lasts only until the next message reset and cannot raise the regular window allowance. Daily safety limits still apply. Turn rewarded offers off in Settings at any time.
- No ads on the web
- chefskiss.io and the web app show no ads on any plan.
