Cook Mode

On the web (Discover)

Open any recipe on chefskiss.io/recipes → Cook mode. On the companion Discover tab, open a recipe and tap Cook mode; that still launches on chefskiss.io.

• Step-by-step cooking view
• Timers parsed from step text
• Screen wake lock when the browser allows it
• No account required
• Scale and units on the recipe page before you cook

Browser Cook Mode is on Discover pages today. Personal library Cook Mode in the companion is not there yet.

On mobile

Open a recipe in the app → Cook.

• Step-by-step cooking view
• Timers for timed steps
• Screen keep-awake while you cook
• iOS: Live Activity on the Lock Screen and Dynamic Island (native build)
• Android: sticky ongoing notification while a timer runs
• Completion alert via a local notification when a timer finishes

Apple Watch

On a paired Apple Watch, Cook Mode is the default page. Pick a synced recipe to start cook on the iPhone.
