Snap a recipe card
Use the camera or photo library to turn a printed or handwritten recipe into a structured entry.
Photo import is available in the iOS and Android apps only.
Steps
- Tap + on Home.
- Choose Camera or Photo library.
- Frame the recipe clearly (good light, full page if possible).
- Wait for AI extract, then review ingredients, steps, and calories.
- Save to your library.
What works well
- Printed recipe cards and cookbook pages
- Clear handwriting
- One recipe per photo when you can
What to avoid
- Blurry or heavily cropped shots
- Screens with glare that hide ingredients
- Multiple unrelated recipes in one frame
